Palo Alto Networks · PAN-OS
Updated October 17, 2026
PAN-OS suffers a code‑injection flaw that allows an attacker with network access and valid credentials to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. Firewalls are critical control points; compromise undermines the entire security posture.
A compromised firewall can be used to bypass security policies, exfiltrate traffic, and serve as a launchpad for ransomware or broader network attacks.
Update PAN‑OS to the fixed release; rotate all admin passwords, enable MFA, and restrict management interface access to trusted subnets only.
